AGENCY CREATIVE WINS ADRIAN AWARD
INTEGRATED MARKETING CAMPAIGN REDEFINES BRAND
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (January 7, 2008)— SMITH, a fully-integrated advertising and marketing agency with offices in Raleigh and Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Sarasota, Florida, was recently honored with a Silver Award in the 51st Annual Adrian Awards competition for a creative campaign for the Hilton Head Island Visitor & Convention Bureau. The Adrian Awards competition is one of the most prestigious and respected competitions in the travel and tourism industry. Out of almost 1,300 entries submitted this year, the Hilton Head entry was judged as one of the best by expert hospitality, travel, tourism and media professionals in the Integrated Market Campaign for Consumers (B2C) category. Judges were asked to evaluate each entry based on its own merit and success in achieving its objectives.
SMITH created and directed the campaign for Hilton Head to redefine the destination’s brand, which was launched early 2007. SMITH was responsible for strategy, planning, and implementation and results of the integrated marketing program for the golf, leisure, destination weddings and meetings audiences. SMITH also executes Hilton Head media planning and placement and various research projects.
The Hilton Head Island Visitor and Convention Bureau (VCB) is the destination marketing arm of the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce. The VCB provides destination information to visitors, meeting planners, travel industry professionals and the media while fostering ethical business practices in the tourism industry.
