SMITH WINS ASTER AWARD FOR


SOUTHEASTERN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER TV SPOT


FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (June 12, 2007)— SMITH, a fully-integrated advertising and marketing agency with offices in Raleigh and Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Sarasota, Florida, won a national Aster Award for work produced for Southeastern Regional Medical Center (SRMC).

The television spot entitled “Dream Team” received a bronze award and highlights the medical staff’s expertise at Southeastern Heart Center, a division of SRMC managed by Duke University Health System.

“We’re please to be acknowledged for our work for SRMC and its Heart Center. We’ve seen many successful campaigns during our more than 20-year relationship with SRMC, however the national recognition for our work launching the Heart Center is an especially exciting mark of distinction,” says Larry Lynn, who served as creative director for the project. “The caliber of surgeons and physicians Southeastern Heart Center employs is incredible, and with this campaign we want everyone to realize the care from Southeastern Heart Center is on a level equal to larger facilities anywhere in the world.”

The Aster Awards recognize excellence in healthcare and medical marketing throughout the U.S. In this year’s national contest more than 2,500 entries were judged with only 10 per cent of the entries receiving recognition. Winners receive gold, silver, or bronze awards.
