SMITH Agency Receives College Prep Program Contract



FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (July 15, 2009)—SMITH, a fully-integrated advertising and marketing agency with offices in Fayetteville and Raleigh, N.C., Sarasota, Fla. and Hilton Head Island, S.C., was recently selected by the Cumberland County College Tech Prep program (CTP) to conduct a multi-tiered campaign for the educational series, including branding, dialogue management and direct mail.

The CTP program is offered throughout North Carolina and focuses on preparing students for employment and continuous learning through rigorous, challenging, seamless and integrated academic and technical studies, and leading to the completion of a high school education and a two year postsecondary education certificate, registered apprenticeship, associate and/or a four year baccalaureate degree.

The SMITH campaign will focus on creating greater awareness and interest for the program among students and parents, facilitating the discussion between students, parents and school personnel regarding CTP, and generating greater acceptance of the college tech diploma course as a “dual” course along with college prep among parents and students.
