SMITH Agency Land Freedom Center Contract



FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 3, 2009)—SMITH, a fully-integrated advertising and marketing agency with offices in Fayetteville and Raleigh, N.C., Sarasota, Fla. and Hilton Head Island, S.C., was recently hired by Gentry Group LLC to serve as the full-service agency for the Freedom Center project. SMITH will be responsible for the full scope marketing and advertising activities for industrial center, including collateral development, media placement, public relations, Web site development, trade show materials, direct mail campaigns and branding.

Gentry Group LLC recently announced the company’s purchase of the Spring Lake Business and Industrial Center, a 36 acre industrial park to be re-named the Freedom Center. The complex will feature office buildings, warehouse and flex space designed to support defense contractors consolidating or relocating in advance of the BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) movement to the Fort Bragg area. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2009.

“We believe the Freedom Center will do great things for the local area, and we are excited to be working with the team at Gentry Group to bring the project to life,” SMITH President Gary Smith remarked.
