SMITH AWARDED TOURISM CONTRACT RENEWAL
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 1, 2008)— SMITH, a fully-integrated advertising and marketing agency headquartered in Fayetteville, N.C. with offices in Raleigh and Sarasota, Fla., was recently awarded the advertising and marketing contract renewal from the Brunswick County Tourism Development Authority (BCTDA). The contract is valued at over $1 million. SMITH will continue to oversee brand and creative execution to include national television, national print and interactive.
SMITH has provided marketing direction for the BCTDA for over eight years. In June the partnership was recognized at the Destination Marketing Association of North Carolina's annual conference and Achievement Awards in Asheville, N.C. with the top award in the large-size bureau publication category for the 2008-2009 Brunswick County Visitors Guide. This printed promotional piece designed to encourage tourism in the area was developed by SMITH and the BCTDA.
The BCTDA oversees tourism marketing for the Brunswick Islands, which lie between Wilmington, N.C. and Myrtle Beach, S.C. Situated along North Carolina's southernmost stretch of coastline, the islands claim over 45 miles of beachfront.
