SMITH, an advertising agency with a focus on consumer brands and concentration in Travel and Tourism seeks an Art Director/Designer with 2-5 years of experience for the Raleigh office. Art Director/Designer must have excellent design capabilities, and will be responsible for concept, design and execution of innovative visual materials for all types of media to consistently satisfy high agency and client standards. Projects must be delivered on strategy, on time and within budget.

Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Degree in Art Direction or Design or equivalent work experience
  • Online portfolio (or PDF work samples)
  • Knowledge of interactive design and strategy
  • Understanding of/proficiency in Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite 2 programs including InDesign

Production Artist
Fayetteville/Raleigh, NC

SMITH, an advertising agency with a focus on consumer brands and concentration in Travel and Tourism seeks a production artist to create press-ready marketing materials. Attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines and ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects are a must.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Creating Mechanicals
  • Resizing advertising and other print media
  • Retouching Photography
  • Developing campaign components according to specs under close supervision of art directors/studio manager
  • Organizing and archiving all files
  • Mounting of art work for creative presentation
  • This is not an art director/designer position.

Requirements:
  • Expertise in InDesign, Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Graphic Design degree preferred
  • 2-3+ years of experience

Public Relations Account Coordinator
Raleigh, NC

SMITH, an advertising agency with a focus on consumer brands and concentration in Travel and Tourism seeks a public relations Account Coordinator to provide support on multiple accounts. Must be able to multi-task as well as help manage day-to-day consumer, tourism, and business-to-business client activities.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Media relations
  • Event coordination
  • Research
  • Media tracking

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of AP style and media relations experience a must
  • Writing skills required -- i.e. press releases, case studies, press kit materials
  • Previous agency experience a plus
  • Looking for independent worker and team player with strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree, 1-3 years relevant PR experience (post graduation)
